Mycelium Festival is a small gathering built by a group of friends who care deeply about the people who come and the land they come to. That care extends to your personal data. This policy explains, plainly and honestly, what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we look after it.

  1. Introduction and Scope

This Privacy Notice (this "Notice") explains how Mycelium Festival ("Mycelium", "we", "our", or "us") processes the Personal Data of different categories of identifiable persons, including but not limited to ticket holders, event attendees, volunteers, performers and their staff, vendors, service providers, and persons who visit our website or contact us in the course of our activities.

We recognize the importance of Personal Data protection and are committed to ensuring that your Personal Data is processed in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) (the "PDPA") based on this Notice.

In this Notice, "Personal Data" means any information relating to a natural person (the "Data Subject") that enables the identification of such person, directly or indirectly, not including information of deceased persons.




  1. Acquisition of Personal DataWe use your information to:

Mycelium Festival may obtain your Personal Data directly from you or from any other source, including but not limited to the following:

(a) Provided directly by you when you purchase a ticket, register for the festival, or otherwise establish a relationship with us;

(b) Provided directly by you or indirectly through our ticketing service providers when you purchase an event ticket and attend the festival;

(c) Provided directly by you when you apply to volunteer at the festival or participate in any festival programme;

(d) Provided when you visit our website, respond to surveys, or communicate with us through email or other correspondence; and/or

(e) Captured through photography or video recording conducted within the festival grounds during the event.

In the event that you provide any Personal Data to Mycelium on behalf of other persons, it is your responsibility to confirm that such other persons have consented to the processing of their Personal Data in accordance with this Notice. In the event that you provide the Personal Data of a minor, you shall provide necessary documents for age verification and consent on behalf of such minor, or obtain consent from their parent(s) or legal guardian(s).

We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from minors under the age of 20 without the consent of their parent(s) or guardian(s). If we become aware that Personal Data of any person under 20 years of age has been collected without appropriate consent, we will take reasonable measures, including promptly deleting such Personal Data from our records.



3. Personal Data Processed

Mycelium Festival may collect, use, and disclose Personal Data solely to the extent necessary to conduct its activities. Depending on your relationship with us, the Personal Data held may include the following:

  • Name, age, gender, telephone number, and email address

  • Mailing address and nationality

  • Government-issued identification details, including ID card or passport number (for Kid Pass verification only)

  • Payment and transaction information, processed through our designated ticketing and payment providers

  • Date of birth (for Kid Pass holders only)

  • Photographs, video recordings, appearance, likeness, and voice recordings captured within the festival grounds

  • Website usage data, including cookies and IP address

  • Any other information voluntarily provided to us in the course of your participation in the festival



4. Purposes of Processing

Your Personal Data may be processed for the following purposes:

  • To process your ticket purchase and confirm your entry to the festival

  • To communicate with you regarding your booking, programme updates, or other festival-related information

  • To verify the identity and age eligibility of Kid Pass holders at the point of entry

  • To manage the safety and operations of the festival grounds

  • To document the festival through photography and video, and to use such materials on our website and social media channels for editorial, educational, and promotional purposes

  • To comply with applicable laws and regulations, including the PDPA

  • To notify you of any changes to this Privacy Notice

We will not use your Personal Data for purposes beyond those stated in this Notice without your prior consent.



5. Legal Grounds for Processing

Your Personal Data shall be processed in accordance with the PDPA. Mycelium Festival processes Personal Data only when:

(a) The processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the Data Subject is a party, or in order to take steps at the request of the Data Subject prior to entering into a contract;

(b) The processing is necessary for the legitimate interests pursued by Mycelium Festival, except where the fundamental rights and freedoms of the Data Subject override such interests;

(c) The processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation;

(d) The processing is necessary to prevent or suppress a danger to a person's life, body, or health; and/or

(e) The processing is based on the Data Subject's consent. Prior to or at the time Personal Data is collected, Mycelium Festival shall inform the Data Subject of the purpose for which consent is required, the Personal Data to be collected, the right to revoke consent, and any other relevant information.



6. Photography and Video

Mycelium Festival documents each edition of the festival through photography and video for archival, editorial, and promotional purposes. By entering the festival grounds, you acknowledge that you may be captured in photographs or video footage taken during the event.

Such materials may be published on our official website and social media channels. These materials remain the property of Mycelium Festival.

If you appear in a photograph or video and wish to request its removal, please contact us at Mycelium.th@gmail.com. We will give reasonable consideration to all such requests.



7. Provision of Personal Data to Third Parties

For the purposes stated in Section 4, Mycelium Festival may disclose your Personal Data to:

  • Our designated ticketing and payment service providers, for the purpose of processing and managing your ticket purchase

  • Festival staff and authorized volunteers, on a need-to-know basis for entry management and operations

  • Legal or governmental authorities, to the extent required by applicable laws, regulations, or court orders

Mycelium Festival does not sell, rent, or share your Personal Data with third parties for commercial or marketing purposes.



8. Data Storage and Retention Period

Your Personal Data will be stored securely. Mycelium Festival will not retain your Personal Data for longer than is required for the purposes for which it was collected, in accordance with applicable laws.

To determine the appropriate retention period, we consider the nature and sensitivity of the data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure, the purposes for which we process the data, and applicable legal requirements.

When Personal Data is no longer required, it will be deleted or anonymized in a secure manner.



9. Rights of Data Subjects

Under the PDPA, you have the following rights with respect to your Personal Data:

  • The right to access the Personal Data we hold about you

  • The right to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete Personal Data

  • The right to request deletion of your Personal Data, where legally permitted

  • The right to withdraw consent you have previously provided

  • The right to object to or request restriction of the processing of your Personal Data

  • The right to request portability of your Personal Data

  • The right to lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Committee of Thailand

The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of any processing conducted prior to such withdrawal.



10. Cookies and Website Data

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use the site and to improve the user experience. No personal profiles are constructed from this data.

You may manage or disable cookies through your browser settings at any time. Doing so will not affect your ability to purchase tickets or access festival information.



11. Modifications to This Notice

Mycelium Festival reserves the right to update or modify this Privacy Notice at any time. Any revisions will be published on our official website.

All ticket holders and attendees are encouraged to review this Notice periodically to remain informed of any changes. Where changes are significant, we will endeavour to communicate these directly to ticket holders where possible.
